You are invited to benefit from a number of authoritative symposia held within the convivial, secure surroundings of the Defence College of Management and Technology at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom.  This is located in the village of Shrivenham between Swindon and Oxford, England. Symposia at Shrivenham provides a forum to Government agencies, military and civilian, industry and research establishments for the exploration and exchange of experience and knowledge, which leads to constructive questioning and a synthesising of ideas in a relaxed but professional environment. Displaying at our Symposia

Symposia at Shrivenham gives a great opportunity for industry to display their capabilities and products to a target audience of academics, end users and  purchasers from government organisations, the Armed Forces, defence contractors and research establishments.  We can offer inside display spaces, 3m x 2m or 6m x 2m and also outside spaces of 4m x 6m.

Speaking at our Symposia

You can contribute further to our Symposia by presenting a paper to complement those provided by invited speakers. Presentations of papers on any subject within the event theme are most welcome, especially from Industry. If you wish to submit a paper, please complete the Abstract Submission Form for the relevant event and return it, together with your abstract of 200 words to the Symposium organiser. Papers should be planned to take 20 minutes followed by questions.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is invited for activities during events which offer the opportunity for delegates and speakers to socialise and network, such as a reception on the first evening, pre-dinner drinks on the second evening, and the formal dinner itself. The benefits available can include complimentary registration fees and display space, the inclusion of the sponsor’s name, logo and full page advertisement in the symposium programme, and advertising the name of the sponsor, with logo, before each break in the programme. The Sponsor of the formal dinner will have the opportunity to draw up the seating plan with the Director of International Symposia. Accommodation

Blocks of rooms at a preferential rate are reserved at selected hotels by Venues Event Management for each of our Symposia. These hotels will be listed on the hotel booking form for each event.
A complimentary bus pick up service runs between the hotels and the Defence Academy.

Travelling to Shrivenham

The Defence Academy at Shrivenham is easily accessible by road, rail and air.  It is located between Oxford and Swindon, minutes from the M4 and can be easily reached from the main railway line between London and Bristol.
